Manchester United have confirmed a concerning update on the injury of Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund, MySportDab reports
The pair picked up injuries in the club’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal at the Sofi Stadium during the USA pre-season tour.
Leny Yoro, who joined the club on a £52m transfer deal with Lille this summer, picked up a muscle issue in the match while Rasmus Hojlund appeared to have picked up a hamstring issue.
They were both forced off the pitch at halftime.
With the pair initially expected to play a big role in United’s 2024-25 Premier League campaign, it was a disappointing development for Erik ten Hag and Man United fans.
Concerns about the state of the injury soared after footage of Leny Yoro walking on crutches emerged with the 18-year-old’s leg covered in bandages.
Speaking after the Arsenal match, Erik ten Hag said an update on the situation of the duo’s injury will be delivered after 24 hours.
Now, Manchester United has confirmed the two players will miss the start of the 2024-35 Premier League season for the club.
In a report shared by Fabrizio Romano, the club stated Leny Yoro will be out for at least three months while Rasmus Hojlund’s Hojlund will miss one month and two weeks of action.

Leny Yoro impressed in his first start for Manchester United in a 2-0 preseason victory over Rangers. Rasmus Hojlund scored the opening goal in the 2-1 loss to Arsenal.
With a promising pre-season start, the pair will be greatly missed by United, who will hope to turn a corner away from their 2023-24 deadlock.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag was able to steer the team to victory in their third pre-season match against Real Betis, winning 3-2 thanks to goals by Amad Diallo, Marcus Rashford, and Casemiro.
