BREAKING! Napoli Reach Agreement With Man United For Scott Mctominay

Manchester United and Napoli have finally agreed terms for the transfer of Scott Mctominay from the club, MySportDab reports.

Mctominay, who had a year left in his Manchester United contract, was linked to an exit from the Old Trafford club this summer as Erik ten Hag doubled down on United squad overhaul.

With the likes of Anthony Martial, Raphael Varane, Facundo Pellistri, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, among others leaving the club, Scott was set to join the exodus list.

However, United only wanted to part ways with the player at the right offer. Napoli first tabled a €25m bid for the Scotland international which was rejected in hand by United.

Now, according to Sky Sport, the two clubs have finally reached an agreement for the transfer of the 27-year-old.

Napoli have reportedly met United’s €30m asking price for the player with final details of the deal set to be sorted out soon.

With club terms now settled, it will be up to Mctominay to settle personal terms with the 2022-23 Serie A winners.

Notably, Mctominay’s sale will represent pure profit for Manchester United, having groomed the youngster from the club’s Academy to a full-blown professional footballer.

The Scott has spent 22 years in Manchester United, having joined the club at the age of six in 2002.

He played for United’s youth teams for 15 years before graduating into the first-team in 2017 and would go ahead to make 179 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 19 goals.

Mctominay is also active with Scotland senior national team, having made his debut in 2018, a year after his debut with Man United senior squad.

He will be the second homegrown Man United player to lave this summer after Mason Greenwood’s transfer to Olympique Marseille.
