Samu Omorodion To Chelsea Move COLLAPSES! [Details]

Samu Omorodion to Chelsea move has collapsed in a dramatic u-turn due to a major issue, MySportDab reports.

Recall Chelsea and Atletico Madrid had reached an agreement to sign Omorodion from the La Liga club. There was no issues with personal terms as well.

The Atletico Madrid forward had reportedly agreed to a lengthy seven-year contract with Chelsea and all was set for the his medical and then signing of contract before the deal collapsed.

According to David Ornstein of the The Athletic, a complication arose at the last hour in the deal leading to the collapse.

“The transfer is off because of a major problem finalising the 20-year-old’s contract,” Ornstein wrote.

Details of what led to the breakdown of the deal has yet to be disclosed. However, some reports claimed Omorodion failed his medical.

At the time of filing this report, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the player will travel back to Atletico Madrid after the failed move.

However, he is still expected to leave the club this summer as he remains  on the peripheries of Diego Someone’s squad plans for the season.

Omorodion would have been a big addition to the Blues attacking lineup for the next campaign. The Spain Youth player spent last season on loan to Deportivo Alaves, scoring an impressive nine La Liga goals for the club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are still in talks with other clubs to sign a striker. Nigeria international and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is still on the Blues’ radar to lead the club’s attack next season.
