Manchester United legend Paul Scholes have reacted over the club decision to sign Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich, MySportDab reports.

The former player have reacted over a move for the defender who he tagged as not good enough to join the club.

Paul Scholes was thorough with his assessment on Matthijs de Ligt whom he have major concerns about the idea of the move.

Things between the player and club is already agreed upon ahead of a pending move which just need Bayern Munich approval.

It is said that there is a slight difference in what Manchester United are offering and what Bayern Munich need for the defender.

However, Paul Scholes isn’t convinced enough concerning the move which he have massive doubts about what the defender would bring to the team.

According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the statement which came from Paul Scholes concerning the move.

Here Is What Was Said:

“Paul Scholes on Man United in talks for de Ligt: “At Bayern Munich, he’s not playing for them.

“That’s a big concern for me especially when Eric Dier is playing ahead of him”.

“Juventus got rid of him, he wasn’t good enough for them…”.

“He’s not been good enough for Bayern, and he’s coming to us almost like a second-rated defender, but he might be a good signing. Don’t get me wrong”, told We Are the Overlap.

He doesn’t think signing the defender would be of much help to the team if an agreement is reached between all parties.

Paul Scholes seems to be not in support of Manchester United signing Matthijs de Ligt who is already seen as a second rated defender.
