Manchester United have signed of fast-rising Malian youngster Sekou Kone from an indigenous Malian club Guidars FC, MySportDab reports.

Who is Sekou Kone
Sekou Kone, born on September 3, 2006, is a Malian youth international. The 18-year-old played for Guidars FC, an indigenous football club in Mali before the move to Manchester United.
He was thrust to the spotlight following his impressive performance for Mali in the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in December.
Playing as a midfielder, he featured in all Mali’s U-17 World Cup matches, playing a crucial role in the team’s run up to a third-place finish in the competition.
Kone isn’t a scoring midfielder but stood out in the competition for his ability to perfectly nailed home the box-to-box midfield role, covering good attacking and defensive distances.
Manchester United plan for Sekou Kone
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are planning to place Sekou Kone in the club’s U-21 squad where he will continue to develop his skills and also learn the cuts and thrusts of professional football.
A spell with United’s youth side will see the player have a chance to improve and hone his footballing skills while playing in Premier League 2 and other Youth competitions in England.
Kone is the second Manchester United youth signing this summer after the club completed a deal for Chido Obi-Martins from Arsenal
