FT: Manchester City 2-1 Brentford, Erling Haaland Net BRACE! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Manchester City came from behind to beat Brentford 2-1 thanks to Erling Haaland’s brace, MySportDab reports.

It was another victory for Pep Guardiola’s side who kept their unbeaten run for the new season going in the Premier League.

Erling Haaland was once again at his best taking his goal tally to nine with just four games played in the 2024/25 season.

First Half Report 

It was a quick start for both teams who were already hitting at each other once the encounter commenced between them.

Brentford stunned the home side after a quick goal from Yoane Wissa in the 1st minute made sure the visitors were in the lead 0-1 as they carried on.

It was going well for the away side until Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland announced himself with a goal in the 19th minute to make it 1-1.

It was a solo effort from the Norwegian who was quick to make sure he brought his side back level into the encounter which became balanced.

Erling Haaland once again with a goal in the 32nd minutes which was assisted by Ederson ensuring the game became 2-1 between both teams as they carried on.

Manchester City made sure they took an important 2-1 lead into the break against Brentford who weren’t that bad on their end.

Second Half Report 

The second half produced enough tactical play which both teams found it extremely difficult to break themselves down all through.

Manchester City were balanced enough on their end as they did everything to make sure they remained within the lead.

Brentford did a lot to try and see what they could put together for a goal, but it was crazy as all attempts going forward was blocked.

Manchester City claimed an impressive 2-1 victory against Brentford which made sure they kept their winning streak for the new season going.
