The 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings for all the nominated players has been leaked with some shocking voting results, MySportDab reports.
For the third time, another player will be crown winner of the Men’s Ballon d’Or apart from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
A leaked voting result shows Real Madrid players dominating the list with two of the club’s players making the top three list.
Starting from the 12th position, Real Madrid and German defender Antonio Rudiger occupies the position. Above him at the 11th place is another Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal.
Florian Wirtz of Bayer Leverkusen and Dani Olmo of Barcelona occupy the 9th and 8th position, respectively.
Barcelona fast-rising sensation Lamine Yamal is the highest ranked youngster in the rankings, occupying the 7th position with 128 points.
At the 6th, 5th, and 4th place is Erling of Manchester City, Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, and Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid, respectively.
Brazilian and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr is top of the rankings with a towering 630 points and is expected to clinch the award.
He is followed by Manchester City’s defensive midfielder Rodri who has amassed 570 points. The top three list on the rankings is completed by Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid, who has garnered 422 points.
From the above, Vinicius Jr will win his first Ballon d’Or award and will become the third player to win the award since 2007 apart from Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The two other players who broke Ronaldo and Messi’s grip on the coveted award are Karim Benzema and Luka Modric.
