Adelia Clooney is George Clooney’s sister and their relationship has been well documented due to their famous family.

George Clooney’s great-grandmother was Ada, who was born in 1960 to journalist Nick Clooney and writer Nina Bruce Warren.

As the actor’s fame grew, Ada became a bookkeeper and attended college in Louisville and Northern Kentucky.

Ada supposedly still lives in their birthplace of Augusta, Kentucky, while George and Amal Clooney and their twin daughters Ella and Alexander now share their time between the United States and Europe.

Ada maintains a connection to George even when they are physically apart.

What follows is an exhaustive biography of Adelia “Ada” Zeidler, the sister of George Clooney.

George Clooney Biography

George Clooney

Nick and Nina Clooney had their second child, George, on May 6, 1961, in Lexington, Kentucky.

Before settling in a little community near Augusta, Kentucky’s downtown, his family was a nomad who traveled about Ohio and Kentucky.

At age five, George made his television debut, guest-starring on his father’s local talk programs as various comedic characters.

Despite suffering from Bell’s palsy while in middle school, he made a full recovery.

George excelled in academics and baseball. When he was sixteen, he had a trial with the Cincinnati Reds.

He majored in broadcast journalism at Northern Kentucky University. But in 1981, he left college because he didn’t want to be like his dad and didn’t want to be a TV journalist.

George worked as a tobacco picker and shoe salesman in the Cincinnati region.

Miguel Ferrer, who was given acting roles, was his cousin and the son of Oscar-winning actor José Ferrer and his aunt Rosemary.

A film about Kentucky horse racing included him in supporting roles, and he even got a few words.

After filming wrapped, George followed his cousin Miguel’s advice and relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.

He did any job he could get his hands on, including chauffeuring his aunt about town and doing errands for her.

Parts began to trickle in, albeit they were only sometimes the ones he had envisioned.

George Clooney is a multi-talented Hollywood superstar who has won several Oscars for acting, directing, and producing.

The native of Kentucky finally broke through in 1994 with his part as Dr. Doug Ross on the popular TV series ER after working steadily for over a decade.

O Brother, Where Art Thou! and Batman & Robin were two of his most recent big-screen appearances, both of which got him nominated for an Emmy.

Following Ocean’s Eleven, Clooney featured in several additional films, including Michael Clayton and The Descendants, two successors to the original.

His two Academy Award wins are from the movie Syriana (2005) and Argo (2012).

He was once named one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors, but today, he’s married to Amal Clooney, an international human rights lawyer.

They have two children together. Wolfs, an action-comedy released in 2024, is his most recent film.

Augusta, Kentucky, is a little town where the twins spent their childhood.

The Tennessean reports that in 2019, George—whose first filming location was Augusta—mentioned the city in a speech.

Contrary to what we see on TV news, there is no such thing as people being nasty to one another.

In his opinion, they should get along. There are more well-known Clooneys in Ada’s family than George.

Nick, her father, was a prominent journalist, and Rosemary Clooney, her aunt on her father’s side, was an accomplished musician and actress.

Hits like “Come On-a My House” and “Mambo Italiano” catapulted Rosemary to stardom in the ’50s.

White Christmas, a holiday classic starring Bing Crosby, was another film in which she appeared.

Nick informed The Ledger Independent that Ada would replace Rosemary’s husband, Dante DiPaolo, as grand marshal of Augusta’s White Christmas parade in December 2010.

Dante had become sick just before the parade.

In a 2006 HGTV interview, their mother, Nina, remembered the day she returned from work to find George, our daughter, and a group of friends hosting a party in one of their living rooms.

The room was covered with marshmallows when I entered,” she giggled.

Augusta was the site of Ada’s March 14, 1987, wedding to Norman Zeidler.

According to the Kentucky Photo Archive, the whole family, including Rosemary, attended and participated in the ritual.

Rosemary serenaded the newlyweds with a love song as George read them scripture. Everybody pitched in to make the wedding a success.

Norman, who had two children with Ada, passed away in October 2004 after suffering a severe heart attack, as reported by The Northerner.

According to the publication, Norman was a former army captain, as stated on Nick’s website.

A boy named Nicholas and a girl named Allison were born to Ada and her husband.

On CBS This Morning in 2015, George also discussed his nephew, who had just been named prom king.

He also mentioned his niece and nephew. I didn’t win the “prom king” title at the high school I attended.

Despite being one of Hollywood’s highest-paid actors, George Clooney’s fortune is mainly unrelated to his work in the entertainment industry.
