Barcelona was said to have been scammed by a fake Robert Lewandowski agent who took £1 million from the club, MySportDab reports.
The recent update was made available during an interview which saw the information being made public.
Barcelona had a dealing with a fake Robert Lewandowski agent who is said to be an online scammer.
This won’t be the first time a situation like this had happened as many incident had taken place long ago.
Some clubs were able to quickly rectify and avoid being scammed by these said online fraudsters claiming to be player agent.
For Barcelona it was a case of them being scammed and they paid the money before knowing the whole situation.
They were able to get back the money paid after making sure they reported and made necessary moves before it was too late.
According to Fabrizio Romano, he confirmed the whole thing via comments which was made during an interview.

“Cadena SER reveals a fake agent/fraud was posing as Lewandowski’s agent… and he tried scamming Barcelona out of €1M for the deal!
“The club even transferred the money believing he was real, but they found out he isn’t.
“However, they did manage to recover back the money”.
There is nothing said about the fraudulent agent being caught despite the money being recovered by Barcelona.
