FT: Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle, Palmer Send Blues To TOP 4! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson both scored as Chelsea moved back to the top four after beating Newcastle United 2-1, MySportDab reports.

The Blues made it another victory after coming off their 4-1 triumph in Greece against Panathinaikos in the Conference League.

Enzo Maresca once again put up some wonderful performance which saw them keeping their hope of the top four alive.

Both teams did their preparations coming into the match which they needed to claim a victory by any means possible going forward.

Chelsea scored in the 4th minute through Cole Palmer, but after some VAR check, the goal was eventually chopped off.

Newcastle United did well enough but it was the home side who took the lead through Nicolas Jackson who made it 1-0 in the 18th minute.

Pedro Neto made the assist for the goal which saw both teams pushing on with more opportunities and tactical displays to try and make something.

Alexander Isak pulled level in the 32nd minute with a Lewis Hall assist before the first half ended with Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle United.

It was a wonderful game in which both teams did so much in the remaining 45 minutes in search of taking all three points.

Chelsea took the lead again in the 47th minute with Cole Palmer making sure his finishing counted and made things between them 2-1 as they carried.

It was a wonderful goal that Romeo Lavia passed through the Newcastle United defense before making the assist for the lead between both teams.

There was some late call for a penalty which unfortunately wasn’t given to the home side who had VAR coming in to overturn the referee’s decision.

Chelsea were able to hold on with their lead as they claimed a 2-1 victory against Newcastle United after 90 minutes of action which took them to 4th.
