Diogo Jota scored as Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 0-1 in their Premier League matchday seven opener, MySportDab reports.
The Reds maintain their number one position on the Premier League table after an amazing victory away from home.
The home side did well in the second half and they could have made something more if Eberechi Eze had scored his late chance.
First Half Report
It was a quick game which started at a good pace from the home side who looked very sharp on their end in attacking.
Crystal Palace scored in the 20 seconds of the match through Edward Nketiah, but his goal was quickly judged as offside keeping things goalless.
Liverpool pressed until Diogo Jota scored in the 9th minute making sure things became 0-1 with Cody Gakpo working out the assist before the finish.
The game carried on forward with nothing else happening except some opportunities which saw both teams going close but none could get a goal.
Liverpool were 0-1 ahead against Crystal Palace after 45 minutes of action which saw both teams doing well enough despite the scoreline.
Second Half Report
The second half was strong with frustrations and the referee had to come in on many occasions to dish out yellow cards.
Liverpool was calm and not looking to rush anything against their opponent who kept coming at them on the offense in search of a leveler.
It wasn’t working well for Crystal Palace despite all their chances which they almost had their moment, but the finishing wasn’t solid enough for a goal.
The efforts kept on coming with Eberechi Eze going close but nothing happened and some also came for the away side.
It was another victory for Liverpool who made sure they took three points from a 0-1 result against Crystal Palace which ensure they remain number one.
