Mohamed Salah scored as Liverpool claimed a 2-1 victory against Chelsea in a controversial match, MySportDab reports.
It was an incredible scene which was witnessed by both fans who came to fully support their team for the evening.
It was Curtis Jones winner which ensured the Reds were able to claim all needed three points after 90 minute of action.
First Half Report
It was the Reds who made sure everything was in their favor as they had some moments which denied them more than one penalty.
Chelsea started so well bossing possession which they couldn’t make anything of despite how much of the ball they saw going forward.
It was a cagey affair until Liverpool got a penalty which Mohamed Salah stepped up and converted neatly ensuring things turned 1-0 between both teams.
They were moments which could have trigged a goal but the Blues were lucky to see Cody Gakpo finish being judged as offside immediately.
Another escape for Chelsea in another VAR check for a penalty which wasn’t give as Liverpool finished the first half with 1-0 lead.
Second Half Report
It was a mean second half as Enzo Maresca was forced into making a number of changes to ensure his side stood a fighting chance after the first 45 minutes.
Chelsea leveled things 1-1 in the 48th minute through Nicolas Jackson finish which was initially called offside before VAR checked and called it a goal.
Liverpool wasted no time in retaking the lead after Curtis Jones finished off a pass from Mohamed Salah in the 51st minutes to make it 2-1.
There were numerous decision which was deemed as poor officiating in the encounter which could have ended up different.
It was nothing as the game carried on with Liverpool claiming a 2-1 victory against Chelsea who will have to move on despite giving it all their best.
