FT: Manchester United 2-1 Brentford, Hojlund Net WINNER! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Rasmus Hoejlund’s brilliant goal was enough as Manchester United came from behind to beat Brentford at Old Trafford 2-1, MySportDab reports.

It was a bizarre scene at Old Trafford after the conclusion of the first half which the away side was able to sneak one inside the net.

However, the second half proved to be the turning point for Erik Ten Hag who deployed some tactical changes to ensure the game changed.

First Half Report 

The first half wasn’t pleasant for the home side which saw Erik Ten Hag getting involved with the officials who had to caution him.

Manchester United started well for themselves in the early minute when they were more aggressive but couldn’t capitalize on anything good.

It was Brentford who soon found themselves dominating play and pushing with everything from their end to get an opener which failed.

The game pushed on with enough coming from both ends until Ethan Pinnock scored with a header in the additional time with an assist from Mikkel Damsgaard.

Brentford were able to finish the first half with a 0-1 lead against Manchester United which saw Jonny Evans and Erik Ten Hag getting booked yellow cards.

Second Half Report 

It was business in the second half which prompted a quick response from the Old Trafford faithful to ensure they kept hope alive.

Manchester United leveled things 1-1 in the 47th minute through an assist from Marcus Rashford which saw Alejandro Garnacho tucking it in for the goal.

Brentford was hit again in the 63rd minute through Rasmus Hoejlund’s left-footed finish with the assist coming from Bruno Fernandes to make it 2-1.

It was back and front chase in the encounter between both teams who looked serious and did everything possible to break down themselves.

Manchester United were well organized until the match ended with them claiming the victory 2-1 against Brentford at Old Trafford.
