Chelsea crashed out of the EFL Carabao Cup after losing 2-0 against Newcastle United after 90 minutes, MySportDab reports.

It wasn’t pleasant in the first half which the Blues couldn’t make much as the home side ran riot over them all through.

Alexander Isak once again was a torn in the flesh of the Blues as he scored against them ensuring that they got their revenge.

It was an evenly balanced start from both ends of the pitch which saw them going after each other in search of a goal.

Chelsea had their moments but couldn’t put anything together as they were pushed back anytime they made a goal attempt.

Newcastle United took the lead in the 23rd minute after Sandro Tonali set up Alexander Isak who converted neatly to make things 1-0 between them.

Another goal followed in the 26th minute which saw Axel Disasi putting the ball inside his net to ensure the home side doubled their advantage to 2-0.

Joao Felix came close on two occasions but couldn’t make much as the first half ended with Chelsea 2-0 behind against Newcastle United.

There was so much talk that took place before both teams made it out into the remaining 45 minutes which was different.

It was a close one between both teams as Chelsea was more pressured to make something happen which did not come for them.

The action continued to go on while Newcastle United on their own were pleased to see things remain in their favor.

Nothing happened with numerous opportunities which were kept out by the home side who continued hanging on in every way possible.

Chelsea ended up crashing out as Newcastle United claimed a 2-0 victory which put them into the next round of the EFL Carabao Cup after a good 90 minutes of action.
