FT: Porto 3-3 Man United, Maguire Nets Late Equalizer, Bruno Fernandes Sees Red [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Manchester United settled for a dramatic 3-3 draw with Porto in their second Europa League match this season, MySportDab reports.

Harry Maguire saved the Red Devils from the jaws of defeat after he nodded home Christian Eriksen’s free-kick with the last touch of the ball.

United went into the game at the back of a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and needed nothing less from victory to restore the confidence of the fans.

It was a pretty bright start after the referee set the match rolling. Seven minutes into the game, Marcus Rashford fired United into the lead after Diogo Costa failed to gather a low shot from the England star.

Thirteen minutes later, Rasmus Hojlund doubled the lead for the Red Devils with a beautiful strike from a distance.

It looked as if the Premier League contingents were coasting to victory against the hosts before Pele halved the difficult a few minutes later, brilliantly heading home Porto’s opener to make it 2-1.

Four minutes after the half-hour, Porto successfully chalked off United’s lead. Former Chelsea target and new arrival from Atletico Madrid Samu Omorodion scored Porto’s second to tie the game before the break.

In the second half, United looked more disorganized than before with Porto mounting heavy pressure to find the winner.

Five minutes into the second half, Samu Omorodion bagged his brace to complete the turnaround for the hosts.

From two goals up to trailing 3-2, the Erik ten Hag-led team were on the throes of recording their second defeat in days after the Tottenham loss.

Worst of all, Bruno Fernandes was sent off in the 81st minute after he picked up his second yellow card.

Playing with 10 men, hopes of a possible comeback for United was dismantled with Porto effectively having the game under control after Fernandes’ marching orders.

The Primeira Liga giants nearly raced to the finish line with all three points after the stunning comeback but United had saved the magical moment for the last touch of the game.

In the first minute of stoppage time, substitute Harry Maguire scored a stunning late header from Christian Eriksen’s free-kick to force the hosts to a dramatic 3-3 draw.

United have now drawn their first two matches in the competition after an opening draw with FC Twente. Watch Video Highlights On YouTube
