Vinicius Junior scored a hattrick as Real Madrid came from two goals down to beat Borussia Dortmund 5-2, MySportDab reports.
It was misery for the Champions League holders who couldn’t control things with them already behind 0-2 in the first half.
The second half was the turnaround for the Champions who proved why they are the title holders by making a shock comeback.
First Half Report
It was the German side who got two goals in the first half which came as a shock to many of the home fans who came out in number.
The match saw Jude Bellingham returning to a place where he was able to establish himself as a prolific midfielder.
Real Madrid struggled all through as they were stunned in the 30th minute through a wonderful goal from Donyell Malen to make it 0-1.
Serhou Guirassy did the hard work of providing the assist for the opening goal. The scoreline became 0-2 in the 34th minute.
The goal came from Jamie Gittens with an assist from Donyell Malen as Borussia Dortmund headed for the break with a 0-2 lead after 45 minutes.
Second Half Report
It was a complete turnaround for the home side who immediately made sure they equalized as quickly as possible.
Antonio Rudiger made it 1-2 for Real Madrid in the 60th minute after a brilliant assist from Kylian Mbappe which was finished off neatly.
Borussia Dortmund saw their lead cut to 2-2 in the 63rd minute after Vinicius Junior’s exceptional goal which sent the whole stadium wild.
It was 3-2 in the 83rd minute after a stunning goal from Lucas Vázquez which saw the whole game take a new turn.
A brace from Vinicius Junior in the 86th minute ensured things became 4-2 with little more left to be played on the pitch.
It was game over for Borussia Dortmund as Vinicius Junior made it a hattrick in the added minute making sure Real Madrid claimed a 5-2 victory at the end.
