Belgium came from two goals down to hold Italy to a dramatic 2-2 draw in the UEFA Nations League, MySportDab reports.

Italy looked set to cruise to victory with a fiery and brilliant start to the game. Schoolboy defensive errors by Belgium caused them to concede two quick goals in a flash.

It took Italy just seconds into the game to race into the lead with Cambiaso scoring the opening goal of the game.

Despite taking the lead, they were still dominating proceedings and were looking set to double the lead.

Six minutes before the half-hour, they got another, punishing the visitors with a second strike.

They were cruising to a deserved first-half victory when Cambiaso was given his marching orders with a straight red card in the 38th minute.

With Italy down to 10 men, Belgium began to build their presence into the game. Four minutes after the red card, they scored a lifeline goal in the 42nd minute to halve the deficit.

De Cuyper netted the goal to give the away hopes of a possible before the first-half break.

In the second half, the visitors continued to mount pressure for an equalizer leveraging on their numerical advantage.

Italy held tenuously to the lead and did everything to preserve it but was finally broken down a minute after the hour mark.

The porous defence saw Leandro Trossard, who was left unmatched, volley home a header from his teammate after a corner kick to make it 2-2.

Belgium had several other chances to kill the game but were held off by resolute defending by the home side.

Italy also came close to a few chances but could not convert them. Proceedings ended with the two teams settling for a dramatic 2-2 draw.
