Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has fired warning to Liverpool ahead of the club’s fixture against the Merseyside outfit, MySportDab reports

The Gunners will host the Reds in what is expected to be a cracker Premier League tie on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

It will be a rollercoaster as the two sides lock horns in the six-pointer with the result expected to have a strong impact on the title race.

Arsenal stumbled to a shock defeat at the Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth in their last Premier League and will be looking return back to winning ways.

Liverpool have recorded the best start to the campaign and have racked up seven wins in eight games to go top of the table with 21 points.

Arsenal sit third on the table with 17 points, having recorded 6 wins, 2 draws and a loss. They will have a chance to close the gap on the Reds on Sunday at the Emirates.

Speaking ahead of the game, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta fired warning to Liverpool, reiterating his team’s readiness to engage the Arne Slot-led side in a cracker.

According to the Spaniard, his team witnessed a drop off and lost the match against Bournemouth due to the international break but are ready to take on Liverpool on Sunday.

“Yeah, we had a drop off with some of the best players not being in their best form against Bournemouth.

“But we are ready for the game on Sunday with the players in top psychological shape to play,” he said.

Arteta will have a chance to relaunch Arsenal into the Premier League title race should they defeat Liverpool on Sunday.

However, they have struggled to find results against the Reds. In their past five meetings, they have only won once with Liverpool winning twice and two ending in a draw.

On the other hand, Liverpool new manager Arne Slot will hope to secure a statement victory over the Gunners to tighten their grip on the Premier League title race.
