Trent Alexander-Arnold Set To Leave Liverpool

Liverpool and England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to leave the club, MySportDab reports.

The 23-year-old has a few months left on his Liverpool contract and will be free to enter into contract talks with other clubs in January 2025.

According to Marca, Liverpool have yet to broker a new deal with the player and there is an increasing concern in the Reds’camp that he will leave at the end of the season.

La Liga and European champions Real Madrid have been in the hunt for Alexander-Arnold and are hoping to sign him in January.

While Liverpool still has a chance to tie the player to a new contract, it is believed he could switch to Santiago Bernabeu this January. And the club have reportedly intensified their move for him following a season-ending injury to Dani Carvajal before the October international break.

Alexander-Arnold’s imminent Liverpool exit will be a big blow to the club. The homegrown Merseyside footballer has been a cog in the Reds’ wheel since he made his senior debut for the club in 2016.

He has made 338 appearances for the club, scoring 23 goals with 87 assists. He is known for his playmaking roles and knack for scoring goals despite playing mainly as a defender.

Speaking recently Arnold said he has signed several contracts with Liverpool behind close doors and wasn’t expecting his next deal to be a public affair.

However, he is reportedly closer to leaving the Anfield outfit than staying with Real Madrid his most likely next stop. A move to the La Liga giants will mark the end of a brilliant eight-year spell with Liverpool.
