Arne Slot Confirms Update on Trent Alexander-Arnold Injury

Trent Alexander-Arnold could only play for 25 minutes in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Brighton at Anfield, MySportDab reports.

The 26-year-old limped off with an apparent ankle injury and was replaced with his understudy right-back Conor Bradley.

Confirming an update on the injury blow after the game, Arne Slot revealed Arnold felt something and had to be hurled off.

He added the player may not be fit to join England squad for the November international break and he will be surprised and hopeful as well that he does.

”It is always a serious if a player goes out in the first half. He felt something. That is not a good sign.

‘‘It is always difficult so close after the game to tell you how it is. I would be surprised if we see him playing for the England national team this week but hopefully he can,” the Dutchman said.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been crucial to Liverpool’s setup under Arne Slot. He has featured in the club’s all Premier League and Champions League games this season.

His injury adds to Liverpool’s piling case of sidelined players with Diogo Dalot, Federico Chiesa, Alisson Becker, and Harvey Elliot all injured.

At the time of filing this report, the club has yet to examine the player for details on the nature of the injury.

However, it is hoped he will not be laid off for long and will be available for England’s fixtures during the international break.

Away from the injury blow, MySportDab understands Trent Alexander-Arnold is facing an uncertain future at Liverpool.

We reported earlier the club have suffered a setback in their bid to renew his contract due to disagreement over new wage terms.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old has a few months left on his Liverpool contract and has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid.
