Arsenal have been dealt a fresh injury blow ahead of their Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest, MySportDab reports.

The Gunners, who are already grappling with piling cases of injuries, have added a new name to the list.

Former Brighton winger and Belgium international Leandro Trossard was hauled off the Eagles’ UEFA Nations League match against Israel in the 37th minute.

Belgium head coach Domenico Tedesco confirmed the player picked up an injury and had to be subbed off in the match.

Details of the injury have yet to be revealed with Arsenal hoping to have the player return to fitness before their clash against surprise team Nottingham Forest on November 23, 2024.

The London outfit is battling a pile of injury crisis this season. First-choice right-winger Bukayo Saka withdrew from the England squad for the November international break due to injury.

His teammate Declan Rice also took the same decision. Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori are also facing a spell on the sidelines.

Tomiyasu Takehiro is also injured and is on a lengthy injury layoff.

With the current injury crisis, Mikel Arteta will take a stern test in his bid to relaunch the team into the Premier League title race.

They will host Nottingham Forest in the first match after the international break with the Tricky Trees proving a tough nut to crack recently under the tutelage of Espirito Nuno Santo.

Meanwhile, there is still hope for the Gunners. While Ben White and Tomiyasu are set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, there are projections, that Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka could recover early and be available for the match.

Leandro Trossard could also be available but the club is awaiting further updates on the injury.
