Bournemouth stunned Manchester City with a 2-1 victory at the Vitality Stadium, ending City’s 33-match unbeaten Premier League streak.

Antoine Semenyo opened the scoring for Bournemouth in the 9th minute, capitalizing on a fast start by the Cherries that saw Ederson forced into early saves.

Bournemouth’s energy on the break kept City on the back foot throughout the first half, preventing City from taking any shots on target.

City struggled to gain momentum, with key players like Jeremy Doku and others missing in action due to injuries.

Evanilson doubled Bournemouth’s lead in the 64th minute, stretching to tap in a cross from Milos Kerkez.

Although Josko Gvardiol headed in a goal for City in the 82nd minute, Bournemouth’s defense held firm despite intense pressure in the closing minutes.

City’s late attempts, including Haaland’s strike that hit the post, came up short, securing a memorable victory for Bournemouth 2-1 and leaving City frustrated.

This unexpected defeat also knocked City from their lead in the Premier League, allowing Liverpool to claim the top spot.
