FT: Real Madrid 1-3 AC Milan, Los Blancos Suffer SHOCK Defeat! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Real Madrid have suffered their second defeat in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League,. MySportDab reports.

The defending champions suffered a shock home defeat to Serie A contingents AC Milan at Santiago Bernabeu.

It was a thriller of a matchup with AC Milan pulling an incredible and historic upset at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The visitors raced into the lead in just 12 minutes into the game with Thiaw scoring to make it 1-0.

11 minutes later, Real Madrid fought back to level the score via a spot-kick. Vinicius Jr converted the spot-kick to peg the away side to a draw.

However, AC Milan who took the game to the hosts with courage and zeal would restore their lead a few minutes before the break.

Alvaro Morata scored the third goal of the match and AC Milan’s second as they made it 2-1 in the 39th minute. The goal saw the away side end the first half with a shock lead.

In the second half, Real Madrid doubled down on their efforts to find an equalizer. They dominated proceedings but were finding it hard to break down AC Milan’s solid defence.

Meanwhile, they frequently failed to quick counterattacks by the visitors, who threateningly looked to extend the lead.

In the 73rd minute, Real Madrid’s comeback hopes was dealt a fatal blow. Reijnders scored AC Milan’s third goal to extend the lead, thanks to a brilliant assist by Rafael Leao after a counterattack.

Seven minutes after Reijnders’ goal, Antonio Rudiger scored from a rebound from AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan. The Los Blancos thought they had reduced the deficit but the goal was later chalked off for offside following VAR check.

The game ended with AC Milan grabbing all three points with a shock 3-1 victory over the La Liga and European Champions.
