FT: Southampton 2-3 Liverpool, Mohamed Salah Net BRACE! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Mohamed Salah scored twice as Liverpool claimed a hard fought 2-3 victory against Southampton, MySportDab reports.

It was an easy match for Arne Slot who have been cruising past opponents since their loss to Nottingham Forest.

The game was one which many expected the Reds to breeze through based on their form which was perfect before the match.

It was good for Liverpool from the beginning which saw them dominated possession and saw more of the ball against their opponent who did well enough.

Nothing could change things between them with Southampton doing well until they conceded in the 30th minute after poor clearance from Flynn Downes who saw Dominik Szoboszlai made it 0-1.

The celebration was short for the away side after Adam Armstrong 42nd goal which came from a penalty rebound saved by Caoimhin Kelleher to make things 1-1.

Both teams settled in for a draw scoreline after 45 minutes which saw them pushed with everything to favor themselves.

It was still a close one in the second half which saw action turning from one end to another with so much happening.

Liverpool were stunned in the 56th minute after a wonderful finish from Mateus Fernandes with assist from Adam Armstrong which made it 2-1 between them.

Southampton couldn’t hold on as they conceded once again in the 65th minute which saw Ryan Gravenberch setup Mohamed Salah who made things level 2-2.

The game carried on with Mohamed Salah once again making it count from a goal through the penalty spot in the 83rd minute to make it 2-3.

Liverpool ran away with a 2-3 victory against Southampton which saw them making sure they remain number one with eight points clear Manchester City.
