Manchester United are preparing to submit a huge bid for Napoli attacking sensation Khvicha Kvaratschelia, MySportDab reports.
The Red Devils are eyeing a revamp of the squad under new manager Ruben Amorim but are reportedly limited by their transfer budget after a £600m splurge under ex-manager Erik ten Hag.
Nevertheless, Italian outlet sportsmedia reports that the club are set to throw all out to secure the services of the highly-rated Napoli midfielder.
Kvaratschelia has been a standout performer for Napoli and is contracted to the club till 2027.
Napoli are hopeful of tying him down to a new contract with a more lucrative £5m-per-season offer.
However, they are now set to face competition from United who are reportedly ready to splash as much as £7m-per-season offer to the Georgian.
While Napoli are hopeful of extending Kvaratschelia’s contract, it is understood they could be forced to part ways with the player with the right offer.
The 2022-23 Serie A winner is valued at £90m with United ready to fork as much for his services.
Khvicha Kvaratschelia has five goals in 12 competitive appearances for Napoli this season and has been the club’s main man since his breakout 2022-23 campaign.
He is expected to play a key role under Antonio Conte’s new Napoli setup but could find United’s offer and a move to the Premier League irresistible.
United’s new manager Ruben Amorim is said to be a big fan of the Georgian and will welcome the prospect of adding the midfield sensation to his options.
United are also looking for further reinforcement in the defence. Sources close to the club have revealed plans have been concluded for a new left-back but it is yet to be determined whether the expected new arrival will be signed in the January transfer window or in the summer at the end of the season.
