Full Match Report

The game started with both nations knowing there was nothing left to play as both teams who made it through have been confirmed.

Nigeria dominated play with pressing more than the visiting side who did all they could but couldn’t get the opening goal.

The match looked very close as Rwanda knew they had nothing to lose which gave them all the morale needed to push back.

Kelechi Iheanacho forced a save out of the goalkeeper which couldn’t give the Super Eagles the lead they needed before the break.

More action from the second made sure the game witnessed some tremendous outcomes which many never expected.

Nigeria took the lead in the 59th minute of the match which saw Samuel Chukwueze beating two defenders before finishing off to make things 1-0.

Rwanda did not give up in the game as they continued seeking for the leveler before Mutsinzi’s 72nd-minute header made things 1-1.

Another game came immediately in the 75th minute through Nshuti who finished off neatly handing the away side a 1-2 lead.

The match ended with Rwanda claiming a 1-2 victory against Nigeria in Uyo but it wasn’t enough to change anything for both countries ahead of next year’s AFCON.
