Pep Guardiola Reacts to Injury Cuts on His Nose, Head After 3-3 UCL Draw

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola seemed to have been on the fray of his emotions after a dramatic 3-3 draw with Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League, MySportDab reports.

The Premier League champions surrendered a three-goal lead to settle for a disappointing draw with the Dutch side.

Haaland gave the home side the lead, scoring from the spot before the first-half break.

Five minutes into the second half, IIkay Gundogan doubled the lead. Three minutes after Gundogan’s goal, Haaland was on the score sheet again to further extend the lead.

The quickfire second-half double ensured City closed up on ending their five-match losing streak in all competitions before the game but things fell apart again for the Manchester-based side.

Feyenoord pulled a late stunner to peg them down to a 3-3 draw. Moussa opened the scoring for the away side in the 75th minute.

Gimenez further reduced the deficit, scoring in the 82nd minute. Four minutes later, Hancko nailed home the third and ultimate equalizer to secure an unlikely point for the Dutch giants.

It ended 3-3 after the final whistle with City shockingly forced to a tank their three-goal lead and extend their wait for first win in six straight matches.

After the game, Guardiola was seen with a cut on his nose, including some bruise marks on his forehead during a post-match interview.

When asked about the cuts, he admitted scratching his nose with his fingers and wanting to hurt himself amidst the frustration of the game.

“We are not able to win games. As a team, always we find a way over the years. Right now, in another situation, nothing happens. For the cut, I wanted to harm myself.

City will return to action at the weekend in a must-win tie against Premier League table-toppers Liverpool. The defending champions will have a lot to play for having slipped eight points behind the Reds following a run of abysmal results lately.
