Trent Alexander-Arnold got fans talking after his symbolic goal celebration in Liverpool’s Premier League win over West Ham United, MySportDab reports.

The highly-rated England right back scored the fourth goal in the match – his 20th for Liverpool – and celebrated by cupping his hands towards his ears facing the fans.

The celebration which appears to address recent rumors surrounding the future of the 26-year-old at the Merseyside outfit further stoked speculations on the player’s next stop.

Prior to the West Ham clash, Marca had reported that Trent had informed Liverpool that he is ready to leave the club and join Real Madrid in the summer as free agent.

After he netted the Reds’ fourth strike against the Hammers, the defender addressed the rumor by running towards fans and pointing his hands to his ears.

While the gesture directly addressed the exit reports, it left fans at a loss on whether he was actually affirming the reports or debunking it.

And to set the records straight, Liverpool manager Arne Slot made it clear that Trent’s contract situation with the club wasn’t negative and his goal celebration tell it all.

“No, I don’t think it’s negative at all. He scored a great goal and the way he celebrated his goal probably tells you enough,” the former Feyenoord boss said.

Trent has just six months left on his Liverpool contract and will be free to enter into pre-contract talks with other clubs in January.

He has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid with the La Liga and European champions reportedly ready for a January swoop for the player.

MySportDab understands Liverpool have offered him a new contract but he reportedly rejected the offer due to disagreement over wage terms.

However, despite the uncertainties that has enshrouded his spell with the Reds, he has remained optimistic of a deal, stating that his future will be sorted out in the private not in the public.

He has 20 goals with 86 assists in 33 appearances in all competitions since his breakout 2015-16 season under ex-manager Jurgen Klopp.
