Real Madrid youngster Endrick has been plunged into an unexpected grief, MySportDab reports.
According to reports from Brazilian outlet, the 18-year-old’s brother-in-law has been shot dead in Brazil in the festive period.
Details of the incident reveal the deceased, who is identified as Mauricio Nunes Goncalves, was killed in a fatal shooting incident while trying to have a good time with friends in a bar.
The shooting incident is said to have occured in Samambaia a few miles away from the country’s capital – Brasilia.
Further details of the incident have yet to be disclosed but eyewitnesses claim the assailant, who has yet to be tracked down, specifically targeted the victim with multiple shots before fleeing away.
Nunes was then left with a pool of blood and was confirmed dead at the spot before any medical intervention could be procured.
While it was thought he is casual stranger sadly meeting his death in the hands of the assailant, it was later discovered he is related to Endrick when the sister of the Real Madrid star – Lavinia – posted a tribute on her Instagram mourning the loss.
Further details revealed that Mauricio is the biological brother of Lavinia’s husband – Marcelo – hence related to Endrick.
MySportDab understands Endrick had linked up with his family in Brazil to celebrate Christmas after festive break in La Liga.
And what would have been a celebration of joy, progress, and success – his first after the big move to Real Madrid – is now ending on a sour note due to the incident.
Brazilian police have reportedly swung into action to fish out the suspected attacker but no arrest has been made yet.
Meanwhile, plans to lay Mauricio Nunes to rest has been reportedly concluded with the entirely now sunk in grief over the shock loss.
