Manchester city star Erling Haaland is now a father as he welcomes a new born with his childhood lover and girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen, MySportDab reports
The two-time and back-to-back Premier League Golden Boot winner had announced back in October 2024 that he and Isabel are expecting their first child together.
The prolific forward communicated the big news to fans by holding the matchball under his belly and thrusting his thumb into his mouth to celebrate becoming Norway’s all-time top scorer with 38 goals after scoring in a 3-0 victory over Slovenia in October 2024.
Now, it has been confirmed the 24-year-old has welcomed his first child with Isabel.
However, the intriguing part is that Haaland never announced the birth of his child, posting on social media as most footballers do.
Moreso, his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen is not on social media with not much known about the wag.
It is understood the two lovers prefers keeping their relationship and love journey in the private, off the sleuthing eyes of the media
Hence, the footballer was never expected the break the news of Isabel putting to birth.
The report was accidentally leaked by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola after the club returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over 2016 Champions Leicester City in the Premier League.
Trying to highlight how difficult it has been for the team and Erling Haaland during their lean period that lasted for 8 games, Pep Guardiola revealed Haaland’s partner has put to birth with the footballer trying to juggle between the poor run of form and joy of fatherhood.
“Sometimes Erling has been judged badly but it’s part of football. He’s tired, he’s played a lot of minutes,’ he said.
“He’s become a father for the first time in the last few days, a lot of emotions and an exciting few days for him,” he added.
Isabel is also a footballer as Erling Haaland but also doubles as a fashionista and fashion merchant.
The pair reportedly met while they were at a Norwegian club Bryne where Haaland nursed his career for over decade.
Their relationship blossomed when Haaland moved to Borussia Dortmund. However, they have kept things under wraps so far with Isabel only making public appearances recently when the latter joined Manchester City.
While it is yet to be revealed when Isabel delivered Haaland’s first child, it is believed it must have been recently.
Haaland scored as City turned a corner away from their dragging deadlock in the England top flight against Leicester City.
It will be an exciting ending to 2024 for the footballer, celebrating both his new born and Manchester City’s fight back.
