FT: Juventus 2-0 Manchester City, Vlahovic STRIKES! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

Manchester City’s winless streak in the UEFA Champions League extended to three matches following a 2-0 loss to Juventus at Allianz Stadium, MySportDab report.

The Premier League champions’ misfortunes in the elite club competition in Europe took a turn for the worst after two second-half goals condemned them to a second defeat in the last three matches.

The first half ended barren with City putting up an impressive 45-minute display before collapsing in the second half.

24-year-old Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic opened the scoring for the home side in the 53rd minute to give the hosts the lead.

After going down by a goal, City ramped up the pressure to find an equalizer. They worked out a slew of chances but struggled to make them count.

15 minutes before regulation time, the 2022-23 Champions’ comeback hopes was dealt a final blow.

Weston McKennie doubled the lead for Juventus to seal the victory and condemn the Pep Guardiola-led team to a defeat.

It ended 2-0 after the final whistle with City’s late push for a consolation goal not yielding result.

The defeat has seen the team slip to 22nd on the Champions League table just two places above the drop zone and a point away.

With two matches left to wrap up the league phase, City must return to winning ways in their next two matches to stand a chance of booking a place in the knockout.

They have now lost eight of their last 10 matches and winless in all the last three Champions League fixtures.
