FT: Liverpool 2-2 Fulham, Jota’s Late Equalizer Salvage Point For Reds! [VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS]

10-man Liverpool fought back twice at Anfield to salvage a point against Fulham in a four-goal EPL thriller, MySportDab reports.

In a match that was marred with pockets of controversies, the Reds scored twice in the second half through Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota to peg a hard-fighting Fulham to a 2-2 draw.

Brazilian attacking sensation Andreas Perreira had put Fulham into the lead in the 11th minute with a brilliant back-post volley from Robinson’s cross.

Six minutes after the Cottagers’ shock lead, Liverpool comeback hopes suffered a big blow when Robertson saw a straight red card for a rash challenge on Fulham star Harry Wilson.

Down to 10-man, Fulham leveraged the advantage to hold onto the lead until the break.

However, Liverpool braved forward in the second half, mounting pressure to find the leveler and it took just two minutes for the league leaders to find the equalizer.

Cody Gakpo, latching on Mohamed Salah’s assist, scored a screamer to make it 1-1.

After Gakpo’s goal, Fulham fought back to retake the lead through Rodrigo in the 76th minute, thanks to a second assist by Robinson.

It appeared Liverpool were set to suffer their second defeat of the season with 14 minutes left to play after Rodrigo’s strike but substitute Diogo Jota’s clutch goal tied the score again.

Seven minutes after coming on, the Portuguese forward latched on Darwin Nunez’s assist to score the Red’s second.

The goal wrapped up the dramatic clash with both sides settling for a 2-2 draw after the final whistle.

Following the draw, Liverpool have missed a chance to extend the lead on top of the Premier League table to seven points.

They have 36 points, five points ahead of Chelsea in second place who could now close the gap to two points should they win their next match.
