Liverpool have opened a gaping 7-point lead on top of the Premier League table after a 3-1 victory over Leicester City in the Premier League matchday 18 clash at Anfield, MySportDab reports.

The Reds, who have emerged as clear favourites to win the title, aced to a deserved victory over the Ruud Van Nistelroy-led side.

It was a tricky start to proceedings at the crammed Anfield Stadium with Leicester City hoping to bounce back from two consecutive defeats under the watch of Van Nistelroy.

Just six minutes into the game, Jordan Ayew, latching on an assist from Mavididi, fired the away side into an unlikely lead.

After going down by a lone goal, Liverpool roared dangerously into the game, pushing hard to nail home an equaliser.

Just at the last touch of the ball before the first-half break, Cody Gakpo scored the leveler for the home side, thanks to a great assist by Mac Allister.

The first half ended with the two sides settling for a dramatic 1-1 draw, thanks to Gakpo’s late equalizer.

In the second half, Liverpool ramped up proceedings to race into the lead. It took the Reds five minutes into the restart to complete the comeback.

Curtis Jones scored the second goal courtesy of a second assist by Allister.

Eight minutes to regulation time, Mohamed Salah sealed the win, scoring his 16th Premier League goal to secure a 3-1 comeback win for the league leaders.

The goal has seen Liverpool extend their lead on top of the table to 7 points after 17 matches.
