Manchester City 115 Premier League Charges Extended To 130, See Why

Manchester City’s 115 Premier League charges has been extended to 130 following a resolution on the number of charges and further clarity over specifics of the charges, MySportDab reports.

The Premier League champions have been under the sledgehammer of the Premier League for allegedly falsifying the club’s account, deflating transfer fees, weighing low payment for players’ and coaches’ wages and more.

We reported earlier that hearing into the case has been concluded with all eyes now fixed on judgment which is slated to be delivered soon.

Now, a new development and report from close sources confirm the original 115 charges levelled by the Premier League was extended to 130 after the Independent Commission doubled down on the specifics of the case.

According to TimeSports, there was confusion when the charge was initially announced by the Premier League in February 2023.

The confusion arose from some rules listed as being breached and the seasons and years for which the club has been indicted.

Now, during the hearing, much clarity emerged as per the breaches and years, hence charges had to be extended to 15 more which counted up to 130.

The recent development as revealed by TimeSports, has heightened projections that City are not likely to come out unscathed.

However, the verdict of the Independent Commission after the hearing cannot be determined.

If City are found guilty, they could face mild punishments ranging from a fine to more severe penalties such as relegation to the lower division and confiscation of the Premier League titles that they have won in the years and seasons they have been indicted.

Meanwhile, they have insisted on their innocence of the allegations and had employed the services of a renowned football finance lawyer Lord Pannick in their defence.

All fingers are now crossed on what will be the verdict of the Commission with judgment slated for ending of December 2024 or January 2025.
