Ruben Amorim Reacts to Hojlund & Diallo Clash After Pizen Win

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has reacted to the clash between Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo after the club’s comeback win over Viktoria Pizen in the Europa League, MySportDab reports.

Rasmus Hojlund, who came on in the second half, created instant impact, scoring the two goals that saw United came from a goal down to win 2-1 at the Doosan Arena in Czechia.

Despite his standout performance that won United the game, it appeared the Danish forward had a hunchback on his teammate Amad Diallo during the match.

On footage shared on social media, the pair were seen locked in a bitter row at the blast of the final whistle after apparently falling out with each other while in action.

The reason for the clash wasn’t far-fetched. On countless occasions, Amad Diallo could be seen refusing to pass the ball to Ramus Hojlund even when he had the chance to do so after United’s counter led to a breakthrough into the hosts’ box.

Hojlund, who appeared to be passive in the resultant fallout, was not entirely innocent. He had also refuse to pass the ball to the Ivorien winger as could be seen by eagle-eyed fans.

While the mishap affected the productivity and potency of United’s attack, it was pretty satisfying to the fans that all three points was in the bag.

However, the pair let up the pent-up emotions after the match and were seen confronting each other.

Reacting to the fallout, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim decided to double down on the positives of the fallout instead of the fight itself.

Speaking in post-match press interview, he said the row showed the passion of the two players to improve and get things right for the good of the team.

“Very good sign!”.

“We need to feel something… If we need to fight each other, it’s like a family. When you don’t care, you do nothing. When you care, you fight with your brother, father or mother,” he said.

Manchester United have now went unbeaten in the competition and have booked a place in the knockout following the win.

They will return to action at the weekend in a highly-anticipated Manchester derby against struggling cross-city rivals Manchester City in the Premier League.
