Tottenham Hotspur have made a decision on Ange Postecoglou’s future amidst the club’s dwindling fortunes, MySportDab reports.
The Aussie bloke has struggled with a poor run of form in the English top flight. He has won only one of his seven matches, including surrendering a 2-0 lead at home to settle for 4-3 defeat against London rivals Chelsea in his last game.
According to sources close to the club, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly unimpressed with the team’s recent slide but has yet to withdraw his backing for Ange Postecoglou.
The football chief believes the former Celtic manager is still the right man for the job but is hopeful the result will improve in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Postecoglou has come under fire by Tottenham fans who are unfazed by the club’s underwhelming performances.
After a hungback on the player’s during a 1-0 loss to Bournemouth, they targeted the gaffer, hurling missiles of abusive remarks.
While Levy is considerably unruffled by the team’s alarming form, it is believed incessant pressure by the fans could force the arms of the football chief to take a drastic decision on Postecoglou.
Tottenham Hotspur will return to action in midweek with a Europa League matchday 6 clash against Scottish giants Rangers at home.
A win will see Ange Postecoglou secure a place in the knockout of the competition, having won three of their five fixtures, losing one and drawing one.
They will return to Premier League action at the weekend against Southampton before taking on Manchester United in EFL CUP quarterfinal clash on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
