Victor Osimhen Commits to Galatasaray Amid Manchester United Interest

Galatasaray head coach Orkan Buruk has confirmed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has assured the club he will remain with them until the end of the season, despite increasing transfer interest from Manchester United, MySportDab Reports.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last summer, has been in sensational form, tallying 12 goals and five assists in just 14 appearances.

The 24-year-old’s move to Turkey came after failed attempts to secure a transfer to a top European club, which also led to a fallout with Napoli.

While Osimhen’s quality has always hinted at a short-term stay in Turkey, his commitment to seeing out the season at Galatasaray comes as a relief to the club.

Mauro Icardi’s season-ending injury has left Galatasaray heavily reliant on Osimhen, who has quickly become a key player in their campaign.

Manchester United have been long-time admirers of Osimhen, and talks of a potential January transfer gained momentum following the arrival of manager Ruben Amorim last month.

The Premier League side is desperate to bolster their attacking options, but Buruk’s revelation suggests United will need to wait until the summer.

With Osimhen’s current form, Galatasaray are hopeful he can lead them to domestic and European success.

However, delaying a move to United could increase competition for his signature, as his performances are likely to attract other elite clubs by the summer transfer window.

For now, Galatasaray fans can celebrate Osimhen’s commitment to their cause, while United must prepare for a highly competitive transfer battle at the end of the season.
