Everton have sacked their manager Sean Dyche following a run of poor results in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

The Toffees club statement confirmed the 53-year-old has been relieved of his managerial duties with key members of his backroom staff also axed.

The club’s U-18 head coach and former player Leighton Baines and captain Seaman Coleman have been asked to take charge of the team as the search for a successor begins.

Dyche took charge of Everton last season and heroically saved the team from relegation. However, he has struggled this season.

Under his watch, the Toffees have managed just two wins in their last 13 league games and are winless in the last four.

They sit 16th on the Premier League table with 17 points, just a point above the relegation’ zone. The poor run of results saw Dyche lost the confidence of the club’s hierarchy hence the decision to end his contract with the club.

Dyche’s sack is coming a few days after Everton’s former owner Farhad Moshiri sold the club to its American new owners – The Friedkin Group l.

Sources close to the club reveal Dyche’s job came under intense scrutiny by the new owners following the team’s poor run of form and if was a matter of time before he was shown the exit door.

As confirmed in the club statement, the search for a new manager has begun with the new owners hopeful of finding the right hand to get the team back to winning ways and most importantly avoid relegation at the end of the campaign.
