Full Match Report

Throughout the match, Liverpool dominated possession, controlling 59% of the ball and registering 19 shot attempts, five of which were on target.

In contrast, Brentford managed five attempts with two on target all through the match which did not allow them much access against their opponent.

Despite Liverpool’s offensive efforts, Brentford’s defense remained resilient for the majority of the game.

It wasn’t until injury time that Trent Alexander-Arnold made a decisive run, delivering a precise cutback to Núñez, who converted from close range to break the deadlock.

Shortly thereafter, Núñez added his second, ensuring Liverpool’s crucial three points in their pursuit of the Premier League title.

This victory extends Liverpool’s unbeaten run to 17 Premier League matches, reinforcing their position at the top of the table.

Brentford, despite a valiant defensive display, remain in 10th place, reflecting their inconsistent form this season.

Liverpool did so well, thanks to Darwin Nunez who was able to come in and ensure his side was able to take the needed points.
