Full Match Report

Arsenal’s 17-year-old forward, Ethan Nwaneri, opened the scoring in the 16th minute by cutting inside from the right and delivering a precise low shot past Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

Despite Arsenal’s early dominance, Brighton responded with increased intensity after the break.

Their efforts were rewarded in the 61st minute when Joao Pedro earned a penalty following a collision with Arsenal defender William Saliba.

Pedro converted the spot-kick, sending goalkeeper David Raya the wrong way to level the score. Arsenal’s attempts to regain the lead were thwarted by Brighton’s resilient defense.

A notable opportunity arose in stoppage time when former Brighton player Leandro Trossard’s effort sailed over the crossbar.

The draw leaves Arsenal in second place with 40 points, five points adrift of Liverpool, who have matches in hand.

Brighton occupies 10th position with 28 points, marking their fourth consecutive draw as they continue this season.
