10-man Real Madrid left it late to complete a stunning comeback victory over Valencia in La Liga, MySportDab reports.
Valencia had stunned the La Liga and European champions with a dramatic 27th-minute goal from Duro to give the Mestalla-based outfit the lead.
Real Madrid ramped up proceedings to find an equalizer but failed as the opponents sat deep to defend the lead.
The first half ended with the La Liga and European giants trailing by the lone goal. They had 45 minutes to turn things around but it was still a nervy and difficult clash at the restart.
However, Madrid had a lifeline to peg Valencia to a draw and possibly seal a comeback after they won a penalty but against all odds Jude Bellingham missed it.
With about 35 minutes left to play, Valencia made well their attempt to stop the dominant opponents through resolute and strong defense.
They were handed a big boost when Los Blancos main man Vinicius Jr picked up a red card for a rash challenge on Valencia goalkeeper.
However, six minutes after the Brazilian was sent off, Los Blancos made light of their one-man disadvantage and fought back to level the score.
Luka Modric scored the equalizer for the team just five minutes after coming on in the 80th minute as Ancelotti’s tactical tweak to cushion the potential impact of Vini’s red card worked out.
The match looked set to end in a draw after regulation time but a stoppage-time goal by Jude Bellingham in the 90+6th minute sealed a dramatic comeback for Los Blancos.
It ended 2-1 after the final whistle with Madrid coming from behind to dispatch the resilient opponents and secure all three points.
