Man United Open Talks With Chelsea For Nkunku-Garnacho Swap Deal

Manchester United have reportedly opened talks with Chelsea for a possible swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku and Alejandro Garnacho, MySportDab reports.

While United’s sudden interest in Nkunku comes as a surprise, Chelsea have long expressed interest in signing United winger Alejandro Garnacho and are ready to bid for the player.

Now, it appears the transfer dynamics is set to change with the Red Devils moving for the services of Christopher Nkunku.

According to Fabrizio Romano, they have contacted Chelsea for a deal but as called by close sources, the two clubs are currently negotiating the move as a separate transfer from Garnacho deal.

However, a possible swap deal is not ruled out with Chelsea stepping up interest in Garnacho.

Nkunku has fallen down the pecking order in Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea squad and is considering leaving the club this January to breath life back into his career.

According to Plettigoal, the French attacking sensation sensation is eyeing a possible return to the Bundesliga and has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich.

However, Chelsea have yet to give a nod to the move but transfer proceedings could be on the fast lane with the Blues also linked to Bayern out-of-favor attacker Mathys Tel.

Despite Bayern’s concrete interest and Nkunku’s agreement on personal terms with the Bundesliga giants, the entry of Man United into the race is set to tweak the balance of the transfer proceedings.

The Red Devils are more likely to beat the Bavarians to the services of Nkunku with their top-rated winger Garnacho emerging as a prime target for the Blues.

However, nothing can be ascertained at this moment, but the drama unfolding is set for a suspense and nervy finish to the January transfer window.
