Manchester United have earmarked three top players for January sale as the club set to double down on streamlining the squad for new manager Ruben Amorim, MySportDab reports.

The Red Devils endured mixed fortunes under Amorim at the start of the latter’s managerial stint at the club but have fallen drastically down the pecking order in recent matches.

Four straight defeats, including back-to-back losses at Old Trafford, has seen the club slipped to 14th on the Premier League table and also crashed out of the Carabao Cup.

With the January transfer now underway, Amorim, who has rotated all the players in the squad to experiment with his signature 3-4-3 style, will have a chance to trim the squad, make new signings, and set up his structure.

Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, Amorim is ready to part ways with three players in the January transfer window.

Top on the list is Christian Eriksen. Eriksen has been key to the United squad since joining from Brentford as a free agent.

His contract will expire at the end of the season and it is understood the club are open to his free exit.

Casemiro is another player that is expected to leave at the end of the season. The Brazilian has endured mixed fortunes recently in the squad and is strongly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Casemiro’s contract will expire at the end of the season as well and it is understood the club aren’t ready to renew his deal as part of attempts to slash expenditure on wage.

Casemiro is among United’s top earners with an estimated weekly wage in excess of £300,000, as per Capology.

The third name on the list to leave this January is Victor Lindelof. Lindelof has struggled for minutes this season, managing only 5 Premier League appearances.

His contract will also expire at the end of the season but United are ready to cash in on him this January if there is an offer.
