Mohamed Salah has clapped back on Jamie Carragher over the latter’s comments on how he has managed his contract situation with Liverpool, MySportDab reports.

While on Sky Sports, Carragher had blasted Mo Salah for frequently granting interview with the media, laying bare the situation of things as per his contract renewal talks with Liverpool.

Speaking on the broadcast, Carragher aimed a subtle dig on the Reds’ sensation, asking him to borrow a leaf from how his Liverpool teammate Virgil van Dijk has managed the contract situation with the Reds.

“I think the other two [Trent Alexander-Arnold & Mo Salah] should take a leaf out of Virgil van Dijk’s book,” he said as quoted by Sky Sports on X.

Reacting to the tweet, Salah reposted it on his handle and wrote, “I’m starting to think you are obsessed with me.”

It’s not the first time Carragher had lashed out at Salah for his media antics in the wake of the contract renewal deadlock with Liverpool.

In November 2024, the former Liverpool star said he was disappointed at Salah for his comments on his contract situation with the club as it could be a distraction to the team’s push for the Premier League title.

The remark came in the wake of Salah’s Southampton post-match interview in which the Egyptian forward said that he has yet to renew his contract and ‘feels more out of the club than in.”

While he had apparently ignored Carra’s comments, he had taken time to lashed out at the former star this time for being unnecessarily attentive towards him.

Salah, alongside his Liverpool teammates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk will run out of their Liverpool contract at the end of the season with no new deal in place.

Van Dijk has been linked to AC Milan while Trent is being targeted by Real Madrid and Salah by Saudi clubs. The Reds risk losing all the three players on free transfer in June 2025 if mo new deal is agreed.
