A new update has been confirmed on the dragging registration saga featuring Barcelona and Spain star Dani Olmo and his teammate Pau Victor, MySportDab reports.
At the time of filing this report, the pair have yet to register for the La Liga this season and are not liable to play for the club.
MySportDab understands La Liga have delisted them from Barcelona’s squad list but the Catalan club have included them in their Super Cup squad although they will not play.
Now, according to a new update from Spanish sources shared by Daily Mail, Barcelona will have a chance to register the two players but it will be temporary.
This is due to the fact that the club will be granted a precautionary measure by the Higher Sports Council (CSD) which will allow them to temporarily register the duo.
This will allow the two players to be called to action for domestic and European fixtures pending when the Higher Sports Council will make a ruling on the appeal.
The newest development will allow Barcelona fans a sigh of relief following uncertainties on the future of the two players in the wake of the registration saga.
Dani Olmo has been key to the Barcelona squad under Hansi Flick, scoring 5 goals in 11 La Liga appearances and a goal plus an assist in four Champions League matches.
Despite the registration saga, he has reiterated his commitment to the club and is hopeful of returning to his game soon.
