Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly ended his marriage with wife Cristina Serra after 30 years of being together, MySportDab reports.

In a report shared by Spanish outlet, sport, Guardiola and Cristina took the decision to end their union back in December 2024 but agreed not to speak to the press about the development.

Their family members were also urged not to address the press pertaining to the breakup as they sorted out the terms of the divorce together.

It is still unclear what has led to the ill-feeling between the two couples. Cristina Serra, although maintaining a relatively modest presence in the media, has been a regular in Pep Guardiola’s managerial career.

She has been spotted on several occasions sharing warm moments with the football manager after big matches.

Her most recent appearance was in Istanbul, Turkey, where she joined fans to celebrate her husband’s Champions League title triumph with Manchester City.

However, close sources report that they have not been living together since 2019.

Cristina reportedly moved back to stay in Spain in 2019 to oversee her family business while Pep Guardiola stayed at Salford to continue his role as Manchester City manager.

Despite the distance, they shared moments together with Guardiola regularly paying a visit to Spain to check on his family.

However, it is believed the distance must have gradually eaten into the bond between the two partners, driving a wedge between them and subsequently spelling doom on the union.

They made the decision to split in December but chose to keep it private until Sport reported the breakup.

Guardiola reportedly met Cristina in Spain in 1994 and started dating her before they got married in 2013.

They have three children together – Maria, Marius, and Valentina Guardiola.
