PSG have completed the signing of Kvicha Kvaratschelia from Napoli, MySportDab reports.
The Ligue 1 giants have been on the trail of the Georgian midfield sensation as the looked to bolster their midfield ranks for the domestic and European challenge.
According to Fabrizio Romano, they have completed the signing for the player in a deal worth over €70million.
MySportDab understands Napoli were eager to keep Kvicha Kvaratschelia on a new contract but could not broker a deal with the player.
Napoli head coach Antonio Conte confirmed Kvaratschelia pushed for his Napoli exit and had told him he wanted to leave the club immediately hence the decision to settle for a transfer deal with PSG.
He had agreed terms with the Ligue 1 giants on a five-year contract and was reportedly offered a lucrative contract terms worth fourth times his wages at Napoli.
Kvicha Kvaratschelia came to the fore in the 2022-23 Serie A campaign when he played a crucial role in the team’s runaway triumph in the Italian elite division on his debut season.
He scored 12 goals with 10 assists, forming a terrific attacking partnership with Nigeria international Victor Osimhen to propel the Azzurri to a historic Serie A title triumph.
Last season, despite Napoli’s struggles in the league, Kvaratschelia still shone bright for the Neapolitans, scoring 11 goals with 6 assists.
This season, he has already scored five league giants with 3 assists in 17 appearances and was key to new manager Antonio Conte’s squad.
The move to PSG has seen him call an end to a two-and-a-half-year spell with Napoli and will hope to continue on his top-level performance with the new side in Ligue 1.
