Rodri has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo over him winning the 2024 Ballon d’Or award over Vinicius Junior, MySportDab reports.
The Manchester City played said he was surprise to hear what the Portuguese legend had to say concerning the award.
Rodri was quick to give his respond which countered what Cristiano Ronaldo had to say concerning him winning the Award.
The Portuguese legend claimed Vinicius Junior deserved to win the Ballon d’Or as it was clear the Brazilian did well in 2024.
Ronaldo questioned the credibility of the award during the Globe Soccer awards ceremony which Vinicius also won.
According to comments from Rodri, he claimed the words from the Al Nassr captain came as a shocker to him.
Here Is What He Said:
“It’s a surprise, honestly, because he knows better than anyone how this award works and, above all, how the winner is chosen.
“This year, the journalists who voted decided I should win it.
“These same journalists probably voted for him to win it at some point, and I imagine he agreed with them then.
The Spain International did enjoy an impressive year with winning with Manchester City and claiming the Euro with Spain.
Rodri feels Cristiano Ronaldo comments about the Ballon d’Or is ridiculous as he believes he deserves the award over other nominees.
