Nigeria Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has broken up with his Norwegian girlfriend Rikkie Hermine, MySportDab reports.
The 2023-24 Bundesliga champion and four-time Rookie award holder reportedly parted ways with the renowned influencer and Instagram personality following a rift over nuptial terms.
According to close sources, Boniface and Hermine were ready to tie the knot and crowned their blossoming relationship when they fell apart due to irreconcilable differences.
Hermine reportedly wanted to marry the player only if he agreed not to sign a prenup (a contract protecting the assets of the two parties in case of divorce or death).
Boniface rejected the deal and that was enough to drive a wedge between the two parties.
While news of their breakup emerged recently, eagle-eyed netizens had earlier spotted the fissures in the relationship back in December 2024 when the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram.
To further confirm that the love journey has hit the rocks, Hermine went as far as deleting all her Instagram posts and putting the account in private.
It is still unclear when they met but close sources said Boniface hooked up with the beautiful blonde in 2021 when he was plying his trade with Bodo/Glimt in Norway.
Away from the romance deadlock, the footballer will be hoping to continue his professional with Bayer Leverkusen having recently returned from injury.
He has 6 goals with 1 assist in 10 Bundesliga matches and a goal in 3 Champions League appearances for the club this season.
He was on the bench as Bayer Leverkusen lost their Champions League Matchweek 7 fixture against Atletico Madrid at the Civitas Metropolitano stadium in Spain.
