Victor Boniface to Al-Nassr Move is on the brink of collapse, MySportDab reports

We reported earlier that the Saudi club have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the player on a transfer fee worth €60million.

Personal terms were also agreed with Boniface for a contract worth €15million per year with the player ready to join the Saudi side immediately.

Now, according to a fresh report by Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs, the deal may not go through despite Al-Nassr, Bayer Leverkusen, and Boniface ticketing all the boxes for the transfer.

Details of the new report reveal ‘Al-Nassr dealmakers’ are still pushing for an alternative striker option in Jhon Duran of Aston Villa apart from Boniface.

Agreement is said to have been reached with the Colombian attacking sensation but Aston Villa have yet to give a nod to the move and talks between the two clubs are ongoing.

Should Aston Villa agree terms for John Duran’s transfer, then the Saudi side are likely to dump their agreement for Victor Boniface and settle for Duran.

It is dramatic plot twist and all fingers are crossed on who will finally fly into the Gulf State between Boniface and Duran to join Al-Nassr.

Unlike Boniface, who has been a key and integral part of Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen squad, Duran has struggled for minutes in Unai Emery’s Aston Villa.

He is frequently used as a substitute but has defied the deadlock to emerge as the team’s most effective and prolific attacker.

Aston Villa have been hesitant on parting ways with Duran as they consider him key to the squad despite his bit-part role unlike Bayer Leverkusen, who were open to Victor Boniface’s exit.

However, it is understood a significant offer from Al-Nassr could be enough to force a change of heart by the Aston-based outfit.
